Deltakeren introduseres til kajakken og utstyret. Etter endt kurs har deltakeren gjennom enkel praktisk øvelse lært å bruke kajakk, åre, trekk og vest. I tillegg er deltakeren kjent med enkle sikkerhetsrutiner og øvelser, samt hvordan effektivt manøvrere kajakken. Participants learn basics about kayaking and the equipment. After finishing the course the participants have done some practical exercises with kayaks, paddles, spraydeck and vest. Additionally they will know some basic safety routines and exercises as well as how to manoeuvre a kayak. Please bring your own lunch, warm drinks and clothes to change in case you will get wet. Woolen clothing is best to wear under a drysuit! Time: 9-17 both days. Place: SSF clubhouse down at the beach. PAYMENT and COURSE FEE: When you have received a place in a course and this mail you are obligated to pay the course fee in beforehand to keep your place. In case that SSF has to cancel the course due to weather conditions or a sick course holder, you will receive the whole amount back. In case you cancel the course in short notice (less than 3 days before the course starts), we are permitted to keep 500 NOK of the fee. In case of participant sickness and a doctor attest, you will receive the whole course fee back. Basic course: 1500 NOK (+ membership fee) NOTE: You have to be member of SSF to take the course and borrow equipment and the membership fee is NOT included in the course. Membership for the whole season cost 500 NOK plus 100 NOK deposit for a keycard for the club, which you are also allowed to share between members.
